In an open and exciting game of football played in glorious condition in front of large home support Ahane girls performed heroically but eventually succumbed to a very good counterattacking Adare side who were just that bit more efficient in converting the chances that came their way. Despite having the superior possession, Ahane trailed at the interval 2-0 to 0-1 and try as they might their luck and time ran out to leave Adare deserved winners on a scoreline 3-3 to 1-4.
