Ahane Senior Hurling Captain, Dan Morrissey accepting the East Limerick Senior Hurling Cup from East Senior Bórd Chairman Louise Quirke in Caherconlish this evening after beating South Liberties in a hotly contested final.

Ahane senior hurlers came out victorious in a closely contested East Limerick Cup final against South Liberties in Caherconlish this evening. The match started at a high pace with Ahane’s Pat Meskell and South Liberties Shane O’Neill exchanging early points. As the first half progressed it became clear that South Liberties meant business with the Ahane defence put under sustained pressure. (Read More)

Ahane U16 Girls Football Claim Historic Win over Monaleen. Ahane 5-3 Monaleen 2-9

In glorious sunshine today in Monaleen, Ahane and Monaleen played each other in the U16A League.  It promised to be an intriguing contest, with Ahane the underdogs, taking 0n a very strong and skillfull Monaleen team, who were unbeaten in the league.  Ahane won the first of the early exchanges and when Aimee Griffin, was fouled in the Monaleen square, Aine Mooney stepped up and cooly put the ball past the Monaleen Keeper to record the first goal and score in the match. Back to Back Wins for Ahane U14 Girls Football: Ahane 5-9 Ballylanders 2-3

Ahane made the journey to take on Ballylanders tonight in Round 2 of the Under 14 A Novice Championship.  It promised to be intriguing contest and this it was.  Ahane dominated from the start with the opening goal’s from Aisling Herbert, Kayleigh Blake and Lara Griffin, Ballylanders responded with goals from Andrea O’Sullivan and Emma Frewan to leave the half time score: Ahane 3-0 to Ballylanders 2-0.  Ahane drove on in the second half and with Aisling Herbert in superb scoring form, scoring 2-5, Emma Frewan, Ballylanders, responded scoring 0-3 points. U21 Premier Championship Quarter Final Result – (Ahane 1-13  Na Piarsaigh 2-15)

Ahane’s involvement in this year’s U21 championship came to an end last night in Rhebogue after a tremondous game of hurling against a much fancied Na Piarsaigh side. Na Piarsaigh went into last evenings game with a favorites tag and started the game by making their intention clear and racing into a 1-2 to 0-1 lead. (Read More)
