by cbarry on May 18, 2012

Doon 1 – 03 Ahane 1 – 08

Ahane’s under 14 hurling continued their fine run of late when they disposed of a very strong Doon team at Doon on Thursday 17th May.

The match started at a quick pace and it was nip and tuck throughout the whole of the 1st half with Ahane dominant in most quarters without ever getting the scores they deserved on the run of play and Ahane were very unlucky not to have found the net on at least two occasions, but for some desperate defending from the home side.

East Junior Football League

Ahane 4-9 Fedamore 1-11

Shane Sheehan’s goal fest, stole the show as he lashed in a hatrick to secure the win for Ahane,  in this third round East League tie, played in Newgarden this evening.Fedamore battled bravely throughout but squandered some good opportunities which ultimately proved the difference in the end.

Fedamore started brightly and it took our Ahane lads several minutes to secure possession and to launch an attack. Playing quick and direct ball to the full forward line paid dividends as two quick points accrued before Fedamore replied with a minor. (Read More)
